A Place in Javea was built from direct experience of the local property market. Jon Grocott and his family have been based in the Javea area since 1987, with experience of buying, selling and managing properties locally over that period. After finding that the existing options for buyers lacked genuine local context, Jon built this platform to fill that gap – honest area information alongside the listings, without the agency overhead.
The site was set up to fill that gap – a platform that combines property listings with genuine area knowledge, written for people who want to understand Javea properly before making a decision.
About this site
A Place in Javea is an independent property portal covering Javea and the wider Costa Blanca North, including Moraira, Benitachell and Denia. It is not an estate agency. It does not represent buyers or sellers, negotiate on their behalf or handle legal processes.
The guides, area pages and market reports are written to reflect day-to-day reality rather than marketing descriptions. The aim is to give buyers the context they need to make better decisions about which town, which area and which type of property suits how they actually want to live.
Areas covered
The site covers property and local information across Javea and its neighbourhoods, with additional coverage of Moraira, Benitachell, Denia and Calpe. The Javea area guide covers the town in detail, including individual neighbourhood pages for the Port, Arenal, Old Town, Montgo and surrounding residential areas.
Guides and research
The guides section covers the buying process, costs of ownership, living in Javea, moving practicalities and the local property market. The Javea property market report is updated quarterly with pricing and €/m² data across Costa Blanca North.
