Property for sale in Javea Arenal includes apartments close to the beach, as well as townhouses and villas in the surrounding residential streets.
Arenal is centred around Javea’s only sandy beach and is one of the town’s most walkable areas. Most property consists of apartments and penthouses within easy reach of the promenade, restaurants, supermarkets and everyday services, making it particularly popular with buyers who prefer not to rely on a car. Demand is generally strongest close to the beachfront, although streets slightly inland often offer larger properties and better value while remaining within walking distance of the sea.
Unlike many of Javea’s villa-based neighbourhoods, Arenal has a busier, more urban feel, especially during the summer months when the beach and promenade become the focus of activity. In recent years there has also been a noticeable increase in new apartment developments behind Avenida del Pla and the second line from the seafront, adding modern housing stock to an area traditionally dominated by older apartment buildings. Buyers often compare Arenal with the nearby Port when looking for apartments close to amenities, although the two areas offer quite different atmospheres.
Arenal forms part of the wider homes for sale across Javea, giving buyers access to one of the town’s most convenient coastal locations.

What I noticed during this drive
This route begins in the commercial area behind Arenal beach before continuing along Avenida del Pla and through the residential streets between the Pla and the seafront. One thing that stands out is how much of everyday life in Arenal takes place away from the beach itself. Supermarkets, cafés, shops and other services are concentrated in this part of the neighbourhood, making it one of the most convenient areas in Javea for day-to-day living.
The drive also highlights how much the area has changed in recent years. Alongside many of the established apartment blocks are a growing number of newer developments, particularly around Avenida del Pla and the streets behind the beachfront. Despite the ongoing development, the area remains highly walkable, with most residents able to reach the beach, shops and restaurants on foot.
